Puppy Homeschool is a short email course designed to help you navigate the waters of training and socializing your puppy, even as you wait to meet with me in person.
Raising a puppy is one of the most fun, exciting, and tiring times of your life. You have so many plans, hopes, and dreams for your 4-legged bundle of joy, but it’s not always a cakewalk getting there!
Even if you’ve raised puppies before, each puppy brings it’s on new challenges. Just like us humans, no two puppies are alike. Whether you are raising your first puppy or your twentieth, we’re here to help you make the most of their formative months!
Our training methods are safe and effective for dogs and puppies of all ages, so we can start as soon as you bring your new puppy home. Laying a solid foundation early on is one of the keys to enjoying a long and happy life with your dog.
Through my training programs, we’ll take a holistic approach to puppy raising: basic manners, preventing problems before they occur, and guiding them through that critically important socialization.

Track One: In-Person Group Lessons

6-week Classes | $280
SOCIALIZATION AND OBEDIENCE PUPPY CLASSES
Actively guided play, real-life-based exercises, and a variety of distractions give puppies a rich array of socialization experiences during class.
At Positive Partners Dog Training, LLC we currently offer two puppy classes to help you make most of those critical months. The key to raising a well-rounded dog that is a joy to be around is proper socialization and setting good habits early!
After out puppy classes you’ll be able to:
- Safely supervise and understand puppy playdates
- Understand how puppies learn, and how to keep the training going
- Receive visitors who marvel at your pup’s good behavior
- Enjoy your puppy’s company on errands or taking a break at the coffee shop
- Work from home, read emails, or enjoy a movie while your puppy self-soothes
- Continue to encourage good habits, while preventing bad ones from forming
Puppy Kindergarten: Puppies 17 weeks to 6 months
Puppy Kindergarten is a combination of socialization, problem preventing and solving, and puppy appropriate obedience and manners! This class is 6 weeks long.
In this class we’ll cover:
- Polite Greetings
- Basic cues: sit, down, settle, leave it, stay, come
- Leash Manners
- Fearfulness and Aggression Prevention
- Prep for happy vet and groomer visits
- How to handle common puppy problems
- & more!
The training doesn’t have to end after graduation! Ask us about adding on private coaching to help you address your unique situation after graduation.
Step 1
Fill out our easy online application to be considered for class. Once it is determined group class is the right fit, you’ll get an a link to sign up!
Step 2
Payment is required in full to hold your spot in class. You’ll receive a link to register and pay for class in your approval email.
Step 3

Track Two: Private In-Home Lessons

All of our programs begin with a Foundations Lesson. We’ll spend 90 minutes together laying a solid foundation for us to build upon with your dog. After that first lesson together, you’ll already have a dog who is learning to pay attention to you, follow instructions, and stay out of trouble!
From there, we’ll design the perfect program of 60-minute in home lessons and 30-minute field trips (when appropriate) to help you and your dog meet all your training goals.
Foundations Lessons are $250 and include one 90-minute lesson, pre-lesson email support, Training Manual, and welcome bag.

Puppy Primer: $850
Imagine a life where you understand your puppy’s needs and can stop Puppy Problems before they even start! Set up routines, perfect potty training, and teach your puppy age-appropriate obedience skills.

We’re here to coach you through setting up new routines with your puppy, building a bond with them, and taking the first steps in your training journey together.
In this program we’ll cover:
- Basic Cues: sit, down, stay
- Eye Contact & Name Response
- Preventing or Fixing common behavior problems (pulling on leash, chewing, digging, jumping)
This is not a full obedience course – just a quick crash course on how to train your dog! This program is not appropriate for aggression, fearfulness, or guarding.
You’ll have a solid relationship with your puppy and be set to continue your training on your own!
Practical Puppy: $1,050
Our Practical Puppy program covers all the basic cues your puppy needs to learn as they grow and mature. We’ll also lay the foundation for your puppy to be comfortable with grooming, vet appointments, and more.

This program is ideal for busy puppy parents who can’t join traditional group classes, but still want their puppies to learn all their basic manners. We’ll prioritize your personal goals as we work through my puppy obedience and socialization program.
This program covers basic cues such as:
- sit
- down
- got to bed
- come
- stay
- and more!
We will also cover common puppy problems and prepare your puppy to be comfortable with the Groomer, Vet, and more!
Perfect Puppy: $1,250
Raising a puppy is more than just basic cues around the house. This program is designed to help your puppy learn how to take their new skills out in public. We also designed this program with those Terrible Teens months in mind!
We’ll be by your side to help you navigate the often difficult adolescent months. If you want your puppy to grow up to be a therapy dog, service dog, or just the best dog they can be, this program is for you!
- 4 in-home or Zoom coaching sessions
