Positive Partners Dog Training is excited to announce their Open Training sessions are returning for 2016!

I will be offering Open Training Sessions on select Thursday evenings throughout the year at the Watauga Humane Society in Boone, North Carolina. These “ask-the-trainer” sessions will allow you a chance to polish up any behavior you and your dog learned in past group or private lessons, get help with new behaviors (good or bad!), and work with your dog around distractions. For students of my therapy dog classes as well as any currently registered therapy dog, we will also off the chance to practice the skills needed to be a successful therapy team. You can expect to work on one lesson with the group, and have 10 to 15 minutes of one-on-one time with myself during the group session. Please come prepared with lots of tasty treats, an open mind, and a POSITIVE attitude! You are also encouraged to bring your dog’s favorite chew or toy as well as their bed to keep them busy during any “down” time in the session.

Access to this great opportunity is just $25. Open Sessions will be limited to 5 handler/dog pairs. This will allow each person plenty of time to work with Brianne. When contacting me about class, be sure to include detailed information about what you want to work on so that she can plan accordingly. Please pick ONE or TWO behaviors/tricks to work on for the session.

If you are interested in participating, you must:

-Contact Brianne Harris via e-mail no less than 24 hours before the session. You will need to include information on your dog as well as what you want to work on.

-Have a current rabies vaccination certificate and Release and Hold Harmless Agreement on file with Brianne Harris/Positive Partners Dog Training.

-Bring approved equipment, lots of treats, and a positive attitude!

-Pay $25 upon arrival at the session.

Open Sessions will be from 5:45 pm to 7:00pm at the Turchin Room of the Watauga Humane Society in Boone, NC. Sessions will be offered on February 25 & March 10 this Spring, with more dates to come. Brianne will also be teaching group Therapy Dog and Family Dog Manners classes at the Watauga Humane Society beginning the first week of April.
